G Ashok’s Telugu thriller Bhaagamathie, starring Anushka Shetty, will be released on January 26 next year, The Indian Express reported. Bhaagamathie will clash with Akshay Kumar’s Hindi film Padman in some markets.
Produced by UV Creations, Bhaagamathie also features Aadhi Pinisetty, Unni Mukundan and Malayalam actor Jayaram. The film will also be released in Tamil and Malayalam. The soundtrack is by S Thaman.
The Rajinikanth-starrer 2.0, which also features Akshay Kumar, was initially meant to be released on Republic Day, but in all likelihood has been pushed to April 13, which coincides with the new year in Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
