Anaarkali of Aarah Swara Bhaskar plays a feisty folk singer who wows crowds along with her partner Rangeela (Pankaj Tripathi). When a politician (Sanjay Mishra) takes her suggestive lyrics literally and assaults her, she seeks revenge. Avinash Das’s debut has a rollicking score by Rohit Sharma.

A Dog’s Purpose Does a pet dog need to be anything more than what it already is – a furry bundle of joy? In Lasse Hallstrom’s comedy, a golden retriever (voiced by Josh Gad) looks back on its various owners and lifetimes and contemplates the meaning of it all. The cast includes Dennis Quaid and Peggy Lipton.
