[Watch] It gets messy in the web series ‘Ladies Room’

In Yash Raj Films’ new web series Ladies Room, best friends Dingo (Saba Azad) and Khanna (Shreya Dhanwanthary) hole themselves up in various toilets and try to sort their lives. In the first 10-minute webisode titled Dingo & Khanna Get Caught With Pot, the two women discuss their anatomy in a railway toilet when there is a knock on the door. A policeman threatens to arrest them for smoking weed. How can they avoid incarceration?

The director of the series, Ashima Chibber, who has previously directed Mere Dad Ki Maruti (2013) for YRF, presents the toilet as a character in itself. In the first webisode, the train toilets is predictably dirty and cluttered but also imparts a sense of false security. Within its shaky walls, the two friends find the serenity to carry on with their illegal activity. In Dingo & Khanna Preggers Or Not? Dingo tries to fix an overflowing commode as Khanna uses test strips to determine her pregnancy. The friends seek solace in the washroom, but it adds to their woes by coughing up one problem after another.

The comedy series captures the bonding of its two actors who, despite their differences, stick together like an odd pair of modern-day suffragettes championing their rights to be accepted as unconventional.
