Narendra Modi is back in the US soil. After his "rock star" performance in New York last year, he's added a new stop in his itinerary – Silicon Valley, California, where he is due to meet the CEOs of Fortune 500 companies such as Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Apple and Tesla (several of whom are of Indian origin).

Ahead of Modi's visit, Google CEO Sundar Pichai decided to welcome Modi with a message on YouTube. "There is tremendous excitement among Googlers, Indians in US for PM Modi's visit," he says. "It is an honour to welcome Narendra Modi to Silicon Valley this weekend."

Pichai also expresses admiration for Modi's Digital India programme and assures him that that the search giant Google will play its part in revolutionising rural India.

But Google isn't the only US firm pitching for business. Satya Nadella of Microsoft, John Chamber of Cisco and Santanu Narayan of Adobe are also likely to make presentations on digital technology to Modi. Still, it isn't clear what they can do to top Picha's video.
